| ShopLocal Names Experienced Executive
to Position of Director of Marketing Services
CHICAGO – February 27, 2006 –
ShopLocal, LLC, the leading provider of Web-to-Store (W2S)
and e-commerce marketing solutions for retailers, today announced
the appointment of Marion Black-Ruffin, former Director of
Product Marketing at Orbitz as well as Director of Email Direct
Marketing Strategy at United Airlines, as Director of Marketing
Services. Black-Ruffin will lead ShopLocal’s marketing
outreach efforts and will play a strong roll in product development.
“Marion is a seasoned veteran with integrated marketing
strategies that have resulted in increased consumer satisfaction,”
said Dave Hamel Chief Marketing Officer. “Her knowledge
and proven track record will be a true resource for ShopLocal.”
In addition to her former positions at Orbitz and United,
Black-Ruffin is a member of the Direct Marketing Association,
American Marketing Association, Chicago Association of Direct
Marketing, and WIT. She has received several awards including
the Promotional Marketing Association Bronze Reggie Award,
Frankel’s annual Buddy Award “Outstanding Marketing
Program of the Year,” and was recipient of PC Magazine’s
“Product Introduction of the Year” Award.

Black-Ruffin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Education
from Ball State University and a Master of Science degree
in Counseling and Personnel Services from Purdue University.
She has worked for over 15 years in the digital marketing
industry. Prior to her positions at Orbitz and United, Black-Ruffin
held positions at MyPoints.com, Frankel, FCB Impact, and NEC
Home Electronics.
